Insuresoft, a leading provider of insurance software for the property and casualty insurance industry, announced today that Southern Mutual Insurance Company (SMIC) has successfully installed Insuresoft’s next generation insurance software policy processing system, Diamond v5.0. Additionally SMIC has deployed several of Insuresoft’s value added other policy processing products including Diamond Publisher for print fulfillment and the Diamond Web Portal for inquiry.
SMIC has been a valued insurance software, Diamond user since 1998 and is the first insurance software customer to be in production with Diamond v5.0. Diamond v5.0 is built on the Microsoft .Net 3.5 Framework and leverages WCF for its secure communication infrastructure, visual inheritance for its extendable UI architecture and SQL 2005/2008 for its database backend. Diamond, insurance software enables insurance carriers to manage their entire insurance software policy processing lifecycle, from actuarial modeling to remote point of sale capabilities as well as back-office processing. The first generation of the insurance software was deployed in 1994. Today there are over 200 Diamond modules in production across North America.
According to Kim McClain, Assistant Vice President at Southern Mutual Insurance Company, “Insuresoft’s perpetual license model allowed us to upgrade to the latest and greatest technology without having to pay additional license fees,” McClain continued, “The lower cost of ownership combined with great customer service and minimal disruption to our business made the decision to migrate to Diamond 5.0 an easy one.”

Unique Insurance Selects .Net Diamond System for its Insurance Software Policy Processing Application
Insuresoft, a leading provider of insurance software, announced today that Chicago based Unique Insurance Company agreed to implement Insuresoft’s insurance software's newest release of the Diamond System as its policy processing application.
The Diamond System is a fully automated and integrated policy processing system for both personal and commercial insurance carriers. Fully written in .NET, The Diamond System's insurance software is scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solution for carrying out all business-critical insurance processing functions.
Speed to market was a critical component in Unique’s decision process for selecting a policy processing partner.
